SCDP Events for September 2024:  
 

09 / 07 - Kingsport for Kamala March and Rally - 10 am - Noon
Glen Bruce Park Downtown Kingsport 414 Broad St. Kingsport TN.  Bring a chair for the rally and/or a sign for the march.  Sticks are not allowed to be attached to the signs.  Sound systems are also not allowed. Come out and support local, state and national Democratic candidates.  Campaign materials, signs, bumper stickers, buttons and t shirts will be available.    

 

Monday, Tuesday Thursday. and Saturday- Headquarters OPEN - The SCDP Headquarters at 2530 Volunteer Parkway in Bristol will be open and staffed with volunteers to help distribute for a donation, the current stock of Harris/Walz merchandise (amazing Biden Harris memorabilia for future generations also available!!) as well as Gloria Johnson for Senate materials and signs. Hours are: Weekdays 4 pm - 7 pm and Sat. 10 am - 2 pm.
 

09 / 20 - Game Night - FREE FOOD !!
6:30 pm at SCDP Headquarters 2530 Volunteer Pkw.

09 / 28 - Connections Social Gathering:

Noon - 2 pm, Fox's Den Cafe, Blountville.

Relaxed gathering of like-minded individuals to talk recent politics, and social happenings, drink coffee and enjoy delicious pastries!
 

09 / 29 - Campaign Rally: 2 pm - 4 pm Bristol TN

Candidates Gloria Johnson for US Senate, Kevin Jenkins for US House of Representatives 1st District, Lori Love Tennessee House of Representatives District 3 and Donna Coffee City of Bristol School Board At Large will be present in addition to guest speakers.    Campaign materials as well as t shirts, signs, buttons, and bumper stickers will be available.  Venue to be announced.

There is something here for everyone, from a purely social gathering to routine business meetings to an organized county party convention! Here are more details regarding each event.

Campaign Events:  SCDP is working hard to coordinate specific public events to gather public support and awareness that there is an active Democratic Party in Sullivan County.  Please do your best to attend any / all of these events.  Additionally by volunteering you are helping to elect Democrats across the region, state and nation.  Contact sctndp@gmail.com or show up at one of the times listed for open business hours at the Bristol Volunteer Parkway Headquarters.

A monthly gathering for fun, board game play and EATS!

Hunger First is a monthly food drive for the Kingsport organization feeding families and individuals of Sullivan County.  We have volunteers at our Bristol Headquarters to receive your donations AND we have an Amazon Wish List set up for you to be able to click and donate, use this link:        Amazon.com

Connections is the monthly social event for like-minded individuals to gather, chat about currents topics, Democratic happenings / elections, local items of importance over a cup of coffee and some food.  We are meeting at the Fox's Den in Blountville as it is centrally located.  Check Facebook for event time.

SCDP EC Business Mtg. This is the monthly business meeting of the SCDP executive committee.  The committee conducts the day-to day business of the county party, reviews sub committee work, gets updates from  the Tennessee Democratic Party executive committee representatives and reviews plans for future actions.  All are welcome to attend, only EC members may vote on party business.  Becoming a member of the SCDP EC is easy and fulfilling, just send an email to sctndp@gmail.com and we'll get you started!
 

As always we hope to see you in person at any / all of these events.  To grow the Sullivan County Democratic Party means we promote progressive, human-centered policies locally, state-wide and nationally.  The minimum we can ask for is a donation, please do all you can.
